The Design Museum

School workshops, the Design Ventura competition and a Sustainable Design programme from London's design museum.

About

Established by Sir Terence Conran in 1989, the Design Museum brings contemporary design to life for schools. Workshops, on-site or online, encourage young people to develop design ideas that meet real needs, supported by a dedicated handling collection of contemporary design. Flagship programmes include Design Ventura and a Sustainable Design programme tackling the global waste crisis.

What they offer

  • On-site and online design workshops for KS2–KS5
  • Design Ventura: a national competition for Years 9–11, with Deutsche Bank
  • Sustainable Design programme (with the Swarovski Foundation), KS3 to post-16
  • Free teacher CPD sessions and classroom resources
  • A mini handling collection mailed to remote schools
